Modern Mythical Monsters: Cereberus [day 2]

Filed under: Modern Mythic Monsters, Thing of the Week, cereberus — tyrnyx @ 6:32 am

The anachronistic indignities continue below.

cereberus

And just because I can’t resist, here are a couple more from that list I mentioned yesterday:

Mimi (Australian Aboriginal) – Extremely elongated humanoid that has to live in rock crevasses to avoid blowing away

AAUUGHH!

Lidérc (Hungary) – Magical chicken that transforms into a humanoid

Magical…wha?  That does…huh?  HELP!  Shudder.  But as usual, the French have the right idea.  Here’s a little Gallic palate cleanser for you:

Lutin (French) – Amusing goblin

Ahhh….

  3. It’s kind of like a Harry Potter type fantasy, but based on Greek Mythology rather than wizards. I HIGHLY recommend it! heck it out here: http://www.percyjacksonbooks.com/

I showed your comics to a few teachers and everyone agrees we need some graphic novels for elementary kids…about anything and everything! All the mythology ones out are for young adult.
