Hooray for Mollywood!

“Infandum”? What does that mean?

Well, first of all, it’s Latin– my favorite dead language.  I took, uh, six years of it… and my deep, dark, secret?  I really liked it.  Anyway, now that I’ve outed myself as as Uber Nerd, I can tell you that the literal translation is “unspeakable”, and I first encountered it in The Aeneid in the eleventh grade.  Aeneas is telling Dido about his crummy luck, which he describes as unspeakable, or infandum.  Shortly thereafter she will fall in love with him and –spoiler alert!– commit suicide when he leaves her.

What does this have to do with my comics?  Nothing!  I just like the word.
